Clonoe Village Plan

Public Consultation Event

Would you like to see improvements in your village?

The local community will be leading in the development and creation of a Village Plan for Clonoe

The plan can be used to support the community as an evidence base to secure potential future funding opportunities for the village.

The process is being facilitated by Mid Ulster District Council.

If you would like to contribute to the plan please come along to the Public Consultation Event on

Thursday 16th March at 7.00pm

If you cannot make the Public Consultation Event, we would really appreciate it if you could complete the questionnaire available from local shops, community reps

DROP IN ADVICE /CV CLINIC

Network Personnel will be starting a Drop In Advice/CV Clinic on Thursday morning  23rd March  every 2 weeks March- May, for anyone interested in getting help with employment search, skills development, training and education. This is a FREE service .If you are aged 16 or over, unemployed, not working or working less than 16 hours per week is eligible for employability programmes.

If there is a demand for training such as –

First aid, Food safety, Manual handling, IT, Employability, Retail, Barista, CSR, Confidence and self esteem, Personal development

can be delivered . Contact Marie 028 86766078 for more details or call in to the Community Centre on the 23rd.

 

BABIES AND TODDLERS
Following Lights Camera Confidence Baby& Toddlers ( 10-11am) on Mondays in Clonoe Community Centre there will be an opportunity for parents/carers of babies and toddlers to socialise and get information/advice. This FREE  Community session is open to all including those who do not attend the earlier class. Bring children with you (and a few toys to keep them entertained!) These talks will be delivered in an informal child friendly atmosphere.
Monday 27th March 11.30am – Michelle Major, the Sunshine Project, Laughter Yoga
Michelle will deliver the laughter yoga session to everyone in attendance.

THE CASUAL CLUB
The Casual Club is on Tuesday afternoons from 2-4pm. The Casual Club is a chance to meet new friends and reacquaint with old ones in a relaxed atmosphere. Our programme is varied and dependent on participant’s choice –light exercise, bingo, dancing, relaxation techniques etc. An invitation is extended to all and the nature of the event is that you can either stay for the duration or drop in whenever suits. There is an open door policy and no geographical or membership constraints for those who would like to attend – all adults are welcome. This week Bernie will be there for reflexology and relaxation and light yoga/breathing exercises.

CLONOE CAMERA CLUB
The club meets every second Thursday night at 8pm in Clonoe Community Centre. The club will meet again on Thursday 23rd March.Members pay an annual subscription fee and an entrance fee on the night. Meetings take a variety of forms, with visiting speakers, regular competition nights, practical evenings and members sharing their own interests and skills. During the summer months, regular outside activities are arranged. Come and join us for an evening or two and see if you like us – you’ll be most welcome!

YOGA
The class is back to 7.30pm normal time this week.

 

FREE WORKSHOPS- FOOD VALUES

There is no FOOD VALUES WORKSHOP on Tuesday 14th March. It is back as normal on the 21st March.

LINERCISE – Dance yourself fitter on Mondays from 7-8pm.

CLONOE CROCHET/KNITTING
Crochet and chat is on Tuesday nights from 7.30pm. All welcome. We are now looking at the possibility of evening workshops for children (P4 up) to learn how to knit/crochet. Contact Alice to register.

BOWLS
There will be bowls in the Hall on Wednesday night from 8pm. There are many benefits of Indoor Bowls- it’s not too strenuous, it’s an all-weather game, a fun, sociable activity which promotes good health improving co-ordination and muscle tone. All adults are welcome to come along.

3G MUGA AND INDOOR HALL
Some new primetime slots have become available for 3G MUGA and Indoor Hall for regular and occasional bookings and can also be booked at weekends.

FUNCTIONS/PARTIES
Clonoe Community Centre is available for party, function and conference bookings including Communion, Confirmation and Christenings and we can provide catering options for any of these events.
